Our Approach

Reduce, reuse, recycle

Good environmental practice doubles as good economics — lower costs, less waste and a healthier veld for the long term.

Reduce

Goats graze mainly on natural savanna grassland, with supplementary feed only during gestation, lactation or dry winter spells. Rotational grazing protects pasture, and FAMACHA-based deworming treats only the animals that need it — lowering feed and medicine costs while keeping the veld healthy.

Reuse

Goat manure is reused as fertiliser on grazing and gardens, and harvested rainwater supplements our water supply where possible — free soil improvement and reduced water and input spend.

Recycle

Manure and suitable organic waste are composted, closing the nutrient loop, while locally sourced timber and durable fencing extend the working life of every asset on the farm.

Resilience by Design

A farm built to weather setbacks

Two Strong Product Lines

Meat goats and breeding stock mean the farm is never dependent on a single market or season.

Preventative Health

Routine tick control, FAMACHA-guided deworming and a structured vaccination calendar reduce loss before it happens.

Secure Infrastructure

Durable fencing, raised housing and reliable water reduce risk from predators, theft and drought alike.

Why It Matters

A healthy environment is a business asset

Well-managed grazing and water keep feed costs low and our animals productive, while a visibly clean, well-run farm strengthens our reputation with ceremonial buyers and breeding-stock customers alike. It's a simple equation: protect the land, and the land keeps providing for the farm — and for the next generation after us.
